The Parks and Recreation Department provides multiple camp programs throughout the year designed to engage children in educational and recreational activities that promote their academic, social, emotional, and physical development.
ONE DAY CAMP
The City of South Miami's One-Day Camp aligns with the Miami-Dade County School's scheduled teacher planning days and some holiday breaks. Campers will enjoy a full day of activities, crafts and games. Lunch is not included.
SEASONAL CAMP
Keep your kids active and engaged during the school break with our Winter Break and Spring Break Camps. These camps focus on a variety of activities from fitness, sports, games, and arts & crafts.
SUMMER CAMP
The City of South Miami's Summer Camp program offers campers 9 weeks of fun, educational activities for children Kindergarten - 6th grade. Summer Camp runs in align with the Miami-Dade County School's summer break from June through August, Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Field trip fees are not included.
JR. LIFEGUARD CAMP
The City of South Miami's Junior Lifeguard Camp offers youth ages 11-16 the opportunity to develop lifesaving skills while preparing for a future role as a lifeguard. This program provides hands-on training in water safety, rescue techniques, and first aid, building confidence and leadership in a fun, structured environment. Junior Lifeguard Camp runs Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. during the summer.
