Samantha Fraga-Lopez received her Bachelors Degree in Legal Studies at the University of Central Florida and her Law Degree from St. Thomas University. Samantha began her career litigating Labor and Employment cases in Federal and State Court. In 2017 she was hired as the City’s Personnel Manager, and is responsible for administering the City’s various insurance and safety programs, ensuring compliance of personnel regulations with Federal and State Statutes, representing the City in grievance deliberations, labor negotiations, and worker’s compensation mediations, as well as serving as risk manager, preparing employee communications, and making recommendations as to personnel issues. Samantha was promoted to the Assistant City Manager position in May of 2020 and retains all of her duties as Personnel Manager as well as oversees the City’s Personnel and Code Divisions.
