Steven Kulick, CPM was appointed as the City’s Purchasing Manager in October, 2011. Mr. Kulick has over 25 years experience in Procurement, Supplier Management, Strategic Sourcing and Project Management for Fortune 500 companies and the public sector in the heavy duty truck and aircraft industries, and public transit. Mr. Kulick began his career with Eastern Air Lines and later Ryder Systems where he specialized in project management for system-wide procurement initiatives and coordinating activities of cross-functional team members. Mr. Kulick has extensive experience in the transportation industry, specifically the H.D. truck aftermarket parts industry, as well as, distribution and supply chain functions. Mr. Kulick began his career in the public sector with Miami-Dade County Procurement and later the Miami-Dade County Transit Division.
Under Mr. Kulick’s tenure, the City’s Purchasing Division received Accreditation from the National Institute of Government Purchasing; at the time, the City was only one of 119 government agencies in the US and Canada that received that distinction. Mr. Kulick’s credentials include Lifetime Certification as a Certified Purchasing Manager from the Institute of Supply Management.
