Family Sensory Program

Overview

The City of South Miami, in collaboration with Miami-Dade County Office of Commissioner Raquel Regalado (District 7), Crystal Academy, the Ausome Foundation and UM-NSU CARD, is excited to announce its first sensory room program in South Miami!

The Sensory Lab features a wall mural, wall sensory installations/activations, program work stations, a smart interactive board, and other equipment designed for kids with neurodiversity or sensory processing conditions.

Programming

The 3rd Saturday of every month, beginning April 15, 2023, SoMi Parks and the Crystal Academy will provide movement and art-based activities to support all sensory needs and development for children ages 5-12. Classes available at 9 a.m. & 10:30 a.m. Therapists will be available on-site for support and additional resources. 

Classes are FREE; Children must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.
