Fire Rescue Services in the City of South Miami are provided by Miami-Dade County. The main contact number (non-emergency) for Fire Rescue is 786-331-5000.

Station 14 in South Miami is located at 5860 S.W. 70th Street. Units on site are Rescue, Engine, and Battalion 8.

Free Blood Pressure Screenings

Tests are available at all Miami-Dade Fire Rescue stations. If there is no answer when you ring the station doorbell, the crew is likely out on a call.

Education & Outreach

The City of South Miami Police Department is committed to the public safety and personal security of residents of all ages. Specially trained officers interact with community members through several education and outreach programs. The department also publicizes law enforcement and legislative efforts at the local, state, and federal levels that are enacted to increase public and personal safety.

Participation in national programs such as D.A.R.E., for elementary and middle school students, and M.A.D.D., for drivers and passengers of all ages, occurs on an ongoing basis.
