Youth Sports Leagues

SEASONAL AND YEAR-ROUND ATHLETIC PROGRAMS

Youth Sports leagues are organized by the Parks and Recreation Department and supervised by Volunteer Coaches unless otherwise noted as an outside league. Participation is open to non-residents as well as residents.

YOUTH LEAGUE INFORMATION:

• Miami Rugby Youth:
  The Miami Rugby Youth Divisions welcome boys ages 6-19. Practice takes place Mondays at Murray Park (5800 SW 66 street) and Wednesdays at Palmer Park (6100 SW 67 Avenue) from 6-8 PM. The season operates from late September through May, and we accept new players throughout the season. No tryouts take place, and everybody plays. • Soccer:
  The Grey Ghosts Soccer Club offers recreational and competitive travel soccer opportunitites for youth ages 4 through 18 and promotes youth development through sport, sportsmanship, individual skill development, team tactics, parity among open division teams and opportunities for players of all skill levels. • Tackle Football: 
  The tackle football season takes place from July - December.  Practice takes place at the Gibson-Bethel Community Center and Palmer Park.  For more information on tackle football or you would like to volunteer as a coach, please call (305) 668-7232 (Please note that starting on April 9, 2013, this number will be replaced and changed to (305) 668-3876).  

• South Miami Youth Baseball League:

• Basketball:

• Track:
  South Miami Grey Ghost Track and Field begins in February.  Runners and field event athletes between the ages of 5-18 are encouraged to come out and be a part of the team.
