NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a Special Election for the City of South Miami will be held on Tuesday, August 28, 2018, in conjunction with Miami-Dade County’s Primary Election.
The following question will
appear on the ballot:
of 4/5 majority Commission voting requirements for all land use/development regulations in certain areas.
Shall Charter Article II, section 6.D.1. (requiring
unanimous voting for some land use and development regulations) be amended to
enable the City Commission by 4/5 majority vote to change land use and
development regulations in certain commercial, industrial, and mixed-use areas
near the South Miami Metrorail Station, the “Commercial Core” as further
described in Resolution 058-18-15091.
